For depositors

This section is for people submitting their own work to the repository — for example, a researcher adding a journal article, or staff adding theses.

You need submit permission

Having an account is not enough. The Research & Innovation Centre (RIC) must add you to a group that can submit. If you don't see a New submission option after logging in, you don't have submit rights yet — see Before you start.

How depositing works

Submitting an item is a short guided form, followed by a review:

  1. Before you start — what you need (files, permission, details).
  2. Submit an item — start a new submission in the right collection.
  3. The metadata form — describe the work (title, authors, abstract…).
  4. Files & deposit licence — upload the PDF and accept the licence.
  5. After you submit — what review is, and how to track status.

Need to hold a file back until a date? See Embargo & access conditions.

Submitting is not publishing

When you submit, the item enters a review queue. A RIC reviewer checks it before it goes live. See The approval workflow.
