Common errors

What to try when something doesn't work. If none of these help, see Contact & support.

I can't reach the site

  • Check your internet connection and try reloading repository.amoud.edu.so.
  • It may be a temporary outage — wait a few minutes and try again.
  • If it still won't load, contact ICT — see Contact & support.

I didn't get the registration / reset email

  1. Wait a few minutes — mail can be delayed.
  2. Check your spam / junk folder.
  3. Confirm you typed your email address correctly.
  4. Try Forgot your password? again, or register again, with a different address if needed.
  5. If it still doesn't arrive, contact ICT — see Contact & support.

I can't log in

  • Use Forgot your password? on the login page to reset it.
  • Make sure you're using the email address you registered with.
  • See Log in.

I don't see a "New submission" option

Your account doesn't have submit rights yet. Registering isn't enough — the RIC must add you to a submit group. See Before you start.

My upload failed

  • Check the file type and size — a standard PDF is safest.
  • Try again on a stable connection; large files can time out.
  • If it keeps failing, note the error message and contact ICT.

My item is published but shows no DOI yet

DOIs are minted on a short schedule after approval, not instantly. Give it a little time. If it's still missing well after approval, an administrator can check the pipeline — see Troubleshooting.

A download won't open

  • Make sure your browser allows PDF viewing/downloads.
  • Try a different browser or device.
  • The file may be under an embargo (closed until a set date) — the record is public but the full text isn't available yet. See Embargo & access conditions.

I see "Request a copy" instead of a download

The file is restricted or still under embargo. Click Request a copy to ask the people responsible for the item to share it with you by email.

I can't find the Subscribe option

Email subscriptions need an account. Log in first, then open the collection or community and the Subscribe option appears. See Stay updated.

Statistics show no numbers

Counts reflect real visits and downloads, so a new item — or a newly launched repository — may show no data yet. The figures grow as people use the content. See Usage statistics.
