For RIC reviewers

This section is for Research & Innovation Centre (RIC) staff who review and approve submissions before they become public.

Your role

When a depositor submits an item, it doesn't go live immediately. It enters a review workflow where you:

  • check the description is correct and complete,
  • confirm the file may be shared (the copyright gate), and
  • accept it (publishing it, which mints its DOI and ARK) or return it for fixes.

You also enable depositors — granting a registered user the right to submit into the collections your RIC role covers.

In this section

  1. Enable a depositor — grant submit rights to a registered user.
  2. The approval workflow — the review steps and what each means.
  3. Reviewing a submission — accept, return, reject, or edit.
  4. The copyright gate — Accepted Manuscript vs publisher PDF.

Pilot context

The first production load is the 50-thesis pilot, run by the RIC. The same review steps in this section apply to it. Administrators handling the bulk import should also read Bulk import (SAF).
